Head is mush this morning, absolute mush. Here’s a list of everything I did not/do not want to do today:

  • get up
  • shower
  • get dressed
  • feed myself
  • sort the kids out 
  • go to work
  • get into the car
  • get back out of the car
  • go to work
  • actually function at work
  • get back into the car
  • drive home (fell asleep while driving yesterday. Proper, car heading for the ditch asleep)
  • Be a parent
  • Cook
  • Talk to anyone
Everything on the above list involves playing this game. Everything. 
Here’s what I’d like to do:
  • nothing
  • stare at a wall
  • eat
  • sleep
  • sleep
  • sleep
  • sleep
Theories? Change in the weather. Hormones (I’m premenstrual). Change in meds (one generic to another, apparently exactly the same but I’m clutching at straws here). Come down after the excitement of last week. Or, the one I really don’t want to consider. Relapse.
*‘Effortful to some degree’ is a running joke between Hubby and I. It’s a quote from a yoga podcast we both used for a while, and has become code for ‘everything’s a bit crap really’
